Bedrock Christian Activities

If you have received Jesus into your heart and life, you should be telling others about it. If you are too shy or afraid to tell unbelievers about it, you may need to first tell others who have received Jesus about it. They will love to hear it and it will be good practice for telling lost people about it. Personally, I had to tell a lot of believers about it before I had enough courage to tell unbelievers. The first man I told about it was a Christian supervisor. The next one was a Baptist pastor. The next one was a Christian woman that I worked with. Then I found a church full of believers that I could tell about it. It has been getting easier and easier to tell others about Christ. I am now at a point where I often meet total strangers, befriend them in a few moments and tell them about it. Getting started was the hard part. Being part of a Biblical church is the best place to get started. You will see and hear about others telling others. You will see the power of the Holy Spirit and the faith-giving power of the Bible at work.

Matthew 10:32-33: Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

We should not deny Jesus with our words and we should not deny Him by our actions.

1 Peter 3:15: But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

When we have received Jesus we are promised power, power to be fruitful witnesses for Him.

Acts 1:8: But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

If you have received Jesus as Savior, you NEED to be telling others about it. Be ready always to do that. There are five simple bedrock activities you should be involved in. Tell people you are saved. Show them that you are saved. Tell them how it happened. Tell them it can happen to them. And give them the Word of God, the Bible.

Romans 10:17: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

If you get busy with those five simple things, multitudes of other things will fall into place. Actually they will not just fall into place, God will put them in place. He will line people up that you can tell about Christ and He will manage all the other details. That is the purpose for your life. He has it all planned out for you.

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
